Mantin hakka village visit(museum gallery heritage)

We are tasked to do a research about culture, food, history and such in Mantin. Our group members agreed to do a research about hakka village. The hakka village in mantin has a very small and narrow road. It is quite hard to navigate inside the village and the junctions are confusing. We ended up in a dead end and decided to do our research in the houses here. The houses there was made of wood and is clearly very old. We knocked on one of the houses and there was an old lady who greeted us.

We talked and asked alot about their history. Their history dates way back to 1860 when they are brought in from China by the British. She also says that most of the people in the village is from Hui Zhou, China and had lived in hakka village in a simple and peaceful life. Also, we asked about the bird cages and birds which seems to be everywhere around the house and almost around Every house. She said that the birds are grown to fight in an arena much like a chicken fight betting. She told us Hakka village also had a school and a temple which stood for 100 or more years now and with those many years the villages now consist mostly of elder people and their children already left for urban areas.

After asking a couple of questions we thanked the old lady for her kind hospitality and left. Hakka village doesn't seem to have any shops around and we dint get to taste any food there.

Gallery Curator and Artwork (museum gallery heritage)

GALLERY CURATOR

A curator is like a manager in a gallery who keeps everything organized. They are responsibilities for acquisitions and and collections care. Curators makes decisions on what objects to take and oversee their potential and documentations as well as conducting research based on the collection and history that provides proper packaging of art for transportation and shares that research to the public.

GALLERY ARTWORK

Artwork in a gallery would be displayed in an intention to be sold. There are many types of artwork in a gallery such as many types of paintings , sculptures, installation arts and many more. Artworks sold from galleries are usually have their profits split one half goes to the artist while the other goes to the gallery to keep the gallery funded without problems.

Museum and gallery(museum gallery heritage)

The main difference between art galleries and museums is that museums displays the art and only for viewing. While galleries also shows art but also sells the art to interested and wealthy individuals.

MUSEUMS
Art museums are building that collect, preserve and research objects of historical, scientific and artistic value
as well as provide social and educational services. Museums collect and care these objects for their value and making them view able to the public. Museums are said to be able to 'bring the past  to life' as they show different periods of our history. They also enable visitors to feel and see the past through this objects.

Museums are mostly free of charge and free to be viewed in public. This is because most museums are funded by the government, foundations and donors that generously donate and support the museum without profit.
GALLERY

Like Art museums, Galleries also shows art to the public but the main difference is that they also sell the artwork in auctions to interested buyers especially artist. Although some galleries do no charge any admission fees but they encourage people to view and buy their work. Artworks within the gallery are not permanently kept.

HERITAGE

Heritage is a range of objects, traditions and cultures that we have inherited and were passed down from our ancestors. Songs, recipes, dances and many others elements that are inherited by us that we use to identify us and our culture.
